AUTO & WORK INJURIES

Auto and Work Injuries

Why Choose Chiropractic Care After an Accident?

It Might Be Worse Than You Think-
Auto accident injuries are one of the leading causes of spinal and whiplash injuries. Although many people injured in collisions believe they will feel better in a few days, it is important to know that symptoms may take 72 hours or longer to appear.

If not treated, musculoskeletal injuries can result in permanent injuries and chronic pain.Fortunately, undergoing chiropractic care early on after an accident can relieve the following symptoms, often without the use of pain medications or surgery:
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain or stiffness
  • Arm pain
  • Low back pain
  • Decreased range of motion in the neck, shoulders, arms or back

Chiropractic Care is the Natural Choice

Chiropractic care focuses on misalignments of the spine's vertebrae and its effect on the nervous system and surrounding soft tissues.

Instead of using medication and injections to mask your pain, our chiropractors perform hands-on, specific, quick adjustments to realign the spine and to help provide relief and promote natural healing.

Work Injuries

Common work injuries can range from back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, and more. If not treated properly, these injuries can lead to chronic pain. In Washington, your employer has the right to send you to a doctor of their choosing. However, we are more than happy to help you on your way to feeling back to normal. If you have experienced an injury on the job, please call us at 206.957.7950 to see how we can help.

AUTO INSURANCE RIGHTS
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)

PIP insurance pays for collision related medical expenses up to a set limit, regardless of fault. Under this coverage, there are no copays or deductibles and medical bills are paid at 100%.

The minimum PIP limit is $10,000, which means the PIP insurer will pay up to $10,000 in "reasonable and necessary" medical expenses related to the collision for up to three years.

Not sure if you have PIP? Contact your insurance provider to see if you have PIP coverage.
Private Health Care Coverage

If there is no PIP coverage, or if the injury was not related to an auto accident, individual health insurance may cover your chiropractic care.

However, health insurance policies must be followed and bills may be subject to copayments and limitations of the number of treatments allowed in one year.
At-Fault Party's Liability Coverage

If your injury was at the fault of another person, his/her liability insurance is responsible for paying your medical treatment. However, the amount of treatment paid depends on their specific policy.

In Washington, the at-fault's liability insurer has no obligation to pay any medical bills, etc., until the injured party is prepared to settle the claim. This makes it particularly important to consult an attorney after an accident.
